Araucaria montana Information
A. montana is a widespread montane species found on ultramafic and non-ultramafic soils, typically at altitudes above 800 m. It occurs in large populations on ridges which can be seen from some distance. Despite its broad distribution it is susceptible to population losses caused by mining and fire. There are difficulties in distinguishing this species from A. laubenfelsii. IUCN conservation status: Not Threatend
