Identification:
Solitary stilt-rooted palm from low elevation, stilt-rooted to 50 cm above ground, stem ca 5cm diam. obscured by Piassava and then 10cm diam. 7-10 leaves in crown, young leaf liver coloured; petiole 60-100cm, rusty-scaly; 9 broad lanceolate leaflets on either side; From the Masoala Peninsula, Madagascar.
