Chamaedorea parvisecta Information
Identification:
Stems solitary to 2 m tall and 5-7 mm diameter, errect. Leaves 3-5, pinnate; leaf sheaths tubular; leaflets to 10 per side, lanceolate, to 20 cm long and 4.5 cm wide. Inflorescences erect to horizontal; males with 4-18 pendulous flowering branches; females with 3-10 thick, blunt-tipped branches; fruits globose to ovoid, to 1 cm long and 9 mm diameter, black, with persistent, thickened petals.
