Dypsis elegans Information
This is an exquisitely beautiful palm with solitary slender stems and interruptedly pinnate leaves with dark green leaflets. Inflorescences are highly branched. This palm is described from the Manombo Reserve, Farafangana, where it is regarded as critically endangered. A new more numerous population has now been found growing on Mt. Ivohibe in the south.
